We're
a fairly small agency, but we are increasingly making a great progress.
We have been involved in different community activities for the last six years,
especially in the Ethiopian and East African communties..
During Train the Trainers certificate award with Mayor Greg Nickels
We have done a number of technology and civic-engagement projects, funded by the city of Seattle.

Established
in 2003, EDITS works with youth to increase their connection with
school, parents, and in other educational activities. EDITS encourages
tutoring, mentoring, recreation programs, and leadership development
programs.

With Senate Maria Cantwell in Washington D.C
We
also participated and organized youth to learn their ancestral
language, culture and history. We believe, if families and young people
are functioning well and feeling positive, a greater change is
possible.

During ECMA Grant Award
EDITS suggests that helping young people to achieve their full
potential is the best way to prevent them from engaging in risky
behaviors. When youth have the chance to exercise leadership, build
skills, and get involved in community work, then they gain
self-confidence, trust, and practical knowledge that helps them grow
into healthy, happy, self-sufficient adults.

During ECMA Literacy grant Award
EDITS
also supports positive youth development through partnerships with
agencies that provide academic assistance, leadership training,
bilingual education and culture team-building projects. The goal of
these programs is to strengthen families and promote success for youth.
